Dr. Copeland grew up in the northern Chicago suburb of Libertyville. There she worked after-school at her father’s dental office, which sparked an interest in medicine. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate studies, and graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychology, with a focus in Pre-medicine. She continued her studies at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, and graduated in 2010 with her Doctor of Optometry degree.

Since 2010, she has been practicing in the Chicago-land area. Her focus is on primary care for patients of all ages, fitting of contact lenses, and management of ocular diseases. She is conversationally fluent in Spanish, and is continually working to improve her ability to better communicate with all of her patients.

She is a member of both the Illinois Optometric and American Optometric Associations. She regularly attends continuing education classes to keep up to date on new optometric developments, in order to provide the best care possible.

While not at work, Dr. Copeland enjoys reading mystery novels, watching the Bears, and boating on Lake Michigan.
